The company was founded by Mrs. Toulla Charitonos Andreou, and Mr. Andreas P. Andreou.  From the very beginning, the company activities were based on the "direct-to-the-consumer" concept of sales, utilizing independent sales representatives - Beauty Advisors - to sell and deliver the products to the customer.  Hi-2 Cosmetics was perhaps the first cosmetics company in Cyprus to utilize this system of sales, which Hi-2 has perfected over the last 34 years. Today Hi-2 is the leading Cypriot company in the area of direct sales of cosmetics products.  

With a starting sales force of 3 people in 1974, today Hi-2 Cosmetics works with over 400 fully trained independent distributors (Beauty Advisors) that help market and distribute the products direct to the customer. Direct mail is also utilized, as well as web based catalogs and ordering.

In 1999, Mr. Andreas Charitonos joined Hi-2 Cosmetics Ltd by taking up post as General Director of Hi-2 Cosmetics Ltd. Mr. Charitonos has broadened the activities of the family business through the establishment of a second company, AC Skin Care Solutions Ltd, to specifically serve the professional beauty market (professional aestheticians, beauty institutes, spas) in Greece, Cyprus and the Middle East area. 

In 2005 Mrs. Xanthi Charitonos joined the company in her capacity as Director Of Sales. In addition to being a certified aesthetician in both Greece and Cyprus, Xanthi Charitonos is also a Master Trainer Aesthetician for several German and Italian based cosmetic manufacturers represented by Hi-2 Cosmetics and the sister company AC Skin Care Solutions Ltd.  These include among others LADY ESTHER of Germany, Heitland Cosmetic (Rosa Graf, Thalasso) of Germany, Marzia De Servi Aromatherapy of Italy, Theraderm Cosmetic of  Germany,  Electrocosmetology of italy among others.

Furthermore Mrs. Charitonos is also a graduate of the Physical Education University of Greece with an additional diploma of G.R.A.F.T.

In 2007 Mr. & Mrs. Charitonos launched the Hi-2 Club.  Members to the club, enjoy discounts ranging from 25%-35% on all their personal purchases. Since the inception of the club and up to this day (February 2008), more than 800 persons have become members and enjoy savings on all their quality skin care products. The Hi-2 Club is currently expanding its offerings to include, in addition to quality skin care products, other products of interest to the woman of today.
